FAST Scan Supply Pocket for Veterinary Ultrasound (POCUS Workflow)
Drops into an open probe slot on your FAST scan machine and adds a supply pocket for syringes, coupling gel, alcohol prep, and aspiration supplies. Everything within arm's reach for rapid bedside assessments.
Specifications
Compatibility
- Standard FAST scan machine probe slots
- Compatible with AFAST, TFAST, and Vet BLUE workflows
The Problem
FAST scans (Focused Assessment with Sonography for Trauma) are performed on the most critical patients in veterinary emergency medicine: animals in hemorrhagic shock, acute collapse, respiratory distress, or post-surgical monitoring. AFAST, TFAST, and Vet BLUE protocols demand rapid bedside scanning, and the tech performing the exam needs supplies within arm’s reach: coupling gel, syringes for abdominocentesis, needles, sample tubes, and gauze.
Most FAST scan machines have open probe slots that sit empty. Meanwhile, supplies end up scattered across the exam table, stuffed in pockets, or left across the room in a drawer. When the tech has to leave the patient’s side to grab a syringe or find the gel bottle, that’s time a critical patient doesn’t have.
The Solution
The FAST Scan Pocket Extension drops into an open probe slot on your FAST scan machine and turns it into a supply pocket. It holds coupling gel bottles, syringes (3 mL, 6 mL, 12 mL), hypodermic needles, sample tubes, alcohol prep pads, and gauze, all on the machine itself.
When the machine rolls to the patient, your supplies come with it. From scan to tap in seconds. When AFAST reveals free fluid, your aspiration supplies are already at hand for immediate abdominocentesis.
Designed for serial monitoring workflows: post-surgical patients need repeat FAST scans every 2 to 4 hours. Grab the machine, and the pocket extension means the tech has everything for the next bedside check without restocking.
What’s in the Box
- 1× FAST Scan Pocket Extension (PETG)
Installation
- Slide the pocket extension into any open probe slot on your FAST scan machine
- Stock with your FAST scan supplies
- That’s it. No tools, no hardware.
Care & Cleaning
Wipe with isopropyl alcohol. Not autoclave-safe. PETG is chemically resistant to coupling gels and standard clinical cleaning solutions.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a probe holder or a supply pocket?
It is a supply pocket. It drops into an open probe slot on your FAST scan machine and turns that empty slot into storage for syringes, coupling gel, needles, sample tubes, alcohol prep, and gauze. It is not a probe cradle and it is not an ultrasound probe itself.
Will it fit my ultrasound machine?
It is sized for standard FAST scan machine probe slots. If your portable ultrasound has an open probe slot of the usual size, the pocket drops in with no tools or hardware.
What POCUS workflows is it built for?
It is designed around AFAST, TFAST, and Vet BLUE point-of-care workflows, including serial monitoring where post-surgical patients get repeat scans every few hours. The machine rolls to the patient and the supplies come with it.
How do I clean it?
Wipe it with isopropyl alcohol. The PETG is chemically resistant to coupling gels and standard clinical cleaning solutions. It is not autoclave safe.
